FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

W.J. & H. Crozier are working towards accreditation for an EMS.

British Standard BS8555 accreditation sought after.

Today's Date -- October 2005

This is the body of the announcement ...

You may have seen our Environmental Policy displayed in the office or Canteen at the Quarry.

Government bodies will require that we have an Environmental Management System in place to remain as suppliers and contractors.

As part of our management system we have set objectives and targets for the future to show an improvement in our approach to how our work effects the environment and some of these are:

bulletIntroduce proper containers and disposal for Hazardous waste (Batteries, Oil Filters, Oily Rags etc.)
bulletReduce Electricity consumption and fuel consumption
bulletRegular checks on fuel tanks for leaks and stability and monitor oil deliveries
bulletUpgrade and monitor vehicle washing facilities
bulletReduce general waste to landfill
